Let me just start off by saying that I LOOOOOOVE Metallica (actually the reason I started playing bass, you just gotta love Cliff Burton), and I also love Rob Trujillo. I was on this site looking for some new strings a few months ago, and when I stumbled across these, I knew I just had to get them. I ordered them, strung up my bass, tuned them, and was blown away. Literally. These strings sound so clear that your bass actually sounds louder when played through your amp. On my old strings, I used to get a kind of funny buzzing noise coming from the 16th through 18th fret of the D string. Not anymore. These strings are amazing. They sound unbelievable. They have a nice and wet funky sound when played clean, but also an amazingly heavy distorted sound. After playing these, I'm gonna get the 5 string set next. Buy these strings today, you'll love them, and you'll want to thank Mr. Trujillo himself.

These bass strings deliver BOOM and PUNCHY MIDS, all in one string. Do they go dead fast? Yes.
But the clincher is that these are a great ALTERNATIVE to muddy NICKELS.

These have a great grip. and they are the BEST for Jamming with other guitarist using lots of distortion.

With a good pre-amp and TUBE, you never really have to change strings. But if you use SOLID-STATE amps, expect these to go dead in a week or two

.Overall I would and will be buying these strings again and again. I have yet to find another carrier of the strings in my local area and for the same price. If you're a bassist and you have yet to give these strings a try I would highly suggest them.

.i love these strings! i play everyday as often as i can... i put these on my five string a month ago. have yet to clean them and the highs are still crispy and the lows are still nice and meaty like they were brand new. im buying a set for each of my other two basses. i gotta say im also a fan of metallica. which is why i wanted to try these in the first place... not to mention dunlops are a product of california... gotta love that... so get right... Get these, you wont be sorry.

.I have never played this light a guage string that sounds this powerfull. Tapered strings mean you need to adjust your action up at the bridge to get rid of the buzz. Great strings, stainless, bright, and ballanced.

.The texture was a little rougher than I'm used to but, other than that, the range of tone from lows to highs is wonderful.

.I play in C the majority of the time and these strings are complete garbage... now if I tune up to Standard or Drop D they play alright... not great... just alright... So if you play in a tuning other than those two I wouldn't recommend these strings at all... Even if you do play in Standard there are still much better strings out there for you... These strings are insanely rough and buzz no matter what it is you play... I completely regret buying them and hope this review can help.

.I hadn't put new strings on in a while and the ones I had were starting to suck. Being a diehard Metallica fan (and noticing how much I love Trujillo's tone) I bought these strings. Just expecting some normal strings with Trujillo's name on the box, I put them on and tuned. WOW! These strings rule. I really feel a similarity between my tone and Rob's. I can also fly down the neck as well. Simple as that, if you like Trujillo's sound , you will very much enjoy these strings. A must have.

.If you have a wall of fuzz to mask these noisy things, they might be ok. Say goodbye to your calluses. Never buying Dunlop strings again.
These strings are only good if you play metal with a ton of distortion, Why you ask? I'll tell you! First, these things are the roughest strings I have ever seen. Its like they tried to make them as rough as they could. This slows you waaaaaaaay down,and has a ton of finger noise. Theyre also buzzy everywhere. Maybe this is a characteristic of stainless, but its annoying. I had to raise my action to compensate. Super duper metallic sounding. Needless to say, two days after I put em on, I took em back off and put my old strings back on. Waste of money. I was dissapointed.
