If you've spent a significant proportion of your income on a great jazz guitar, be sure to get yourself some good picks. It stands to reason that the thing making contact with the strings is of utmost importance in tone production. These are a good companion to the D'Andrea Pro Plec. The Pro Plec is smooth and mellow, and these are punchy and precise. Mellow is good in a piano trio setting or when comping for a vocalist, but in something like an B3 trio, you want to cut through the mid-ranges and bass of the organ that has no decay. If you're looking for something like a Grant Green sound, look no further.

.After trying out many pics the Dunlop 205 have become my favorite. Accurate, speed, easy to grip, has a 'fat' tone to it, I don't get the pick noise that some picks tend to have. It may not be for everyone but I think give these a shot if you like the jazz IIIs and ultex picks.

.I perform with these, and practice with the nylon jazz III's. I love these for leads. I cry when they wear out. They're expensive little bastards, but I'm never going back to teardrop -style picks. The 205 has an incredible attack, so I practice with the jazz III's, which have less to build up my chops, then go nuts with these at shows. The control I get coupled with the slimline feel of this pick is my ultimate.

.The Dunlop 205's give great tone and excellent precision to my picking. I rarely drop them due to the texture of the plastic. They don't wear out. These are the best picks ever.

.I'm amazed there isn't more reviews of these great picks! If you use Jazz III's, you owe it to yourself to try these. These are just a touch smaller and I find that they not only sound more alive, but are slicker feeling on the strings as well. They also seen to last longer. Try 'em!

.I was introduced to these by an employee at a local Mount Pleasant, SC. music store. I have been playing all types of picks and starting playing jazz picks a few years back. My go to pick was the Ultex Jazz III. He said that these were the best picks. I said that I would try anything new. These picks are great. They're smaller than Jazz III, but they improve speed, accuracy and tone. They're thick and have no give and I love them.
