These picks are fantastic! I have tried almost every pick out there, and these are just what I've been looking for. I love heavy gauge rounded picks, and these have the best grip design that I have ever used. I have rubber-jacketed picks, picks with holes in them, picks with cork, picks made with grippy material, and picks with dished-out areas for your thumb. But this simple design of small raised nubs keeps the pick from slipping out of your fingers when playing. With the rounded shape, it doesn't matter if the pick rotates somewhat in your fingers.

These picks are a fairly heavy gauge, with a beveled edge. They are made of Ultex. I really like them, and plan top stock up before they stop making them (maybe that's why I have so many picks).

My all-time favorite picks are Fender rounded triange celluloids in X-heavy gauge. But I'm not happy with them until the edges are rounded off from use. If you like Ultex, and you like a heavy gauge rounded pick that won't fly out of your hand when playing, you owe it to yourself to give these a try. They are not the cheapest pick out there, but it will take a very long time to wear one out. You'll probably lose it first... oh, I forgot to say that they sound great! For what it's worth, I like them better that tortoiseshell. The turtles like them, too!

.These picks are great for mandolin. They help increase picking speed and overall volume and clarity of my mandolin. The round edges glide over the double strings without "dipping" between the strings—great for quick picking or tremolo. I have a BlueChip TDR-50 and this pick is every bit as good without the big price tag.

.I'm a bass player that plays both with and without a pick... I use the fat end of a tear drop pick and with these picks, well, every end is a fat end, so... Makes it really easy to pick up and position in your fingers quickly. ...and the raised print makes it easier to grip... One thing I'd do to improve on them is make them in different colors. They're pretty big, but also easy to lose track of on a dark stage...
