These strings are perhaps the best I've played. I've had been Slinkys for a while and decided to try these based on the Reverend's name. They sound great, bend great (2 step bending and beyond), and the pinch harmonics jump out of my LP. Also great for slide work. The stay in tune gret after a just couple of stretches. They have long life with a little cleaning - I just wipe 'em down with a T-shirt when I'm done. Great strings, great tone. Try 'em. Also, I've had similar great luck with the 9s, but I don't have the guts to try the 7s!

.I like these strings a lot better than the strings I usually use. They sound better and feel better. I'm quite surprised, because I thought my former regular strings were pretty good. These will now be my regular strings. One cool thing is that the strings get longer as they get thinner, so you should have no problems putting them on a guitar with a 6-inline headstock. Good stuff!

.In the mood for something new, I put these on my Dot semi-hollowbody. I had Nanowebs on before, and although they sounded fine, lasted a long time and come highly recommended, they had sort of a clinical feel for me.

But these Reverend Willy strings were a pleasant surprise. The tone has lots of personality, and really brings out the character of the instrument. More importantly for me, they feel great. Very bendable, nice harmonics, easy on the fingers, and they stay in tune. They're fun to play. To be sure, these are my new favorites on the Dot. When I get some time I'm going to try them out on my other electrics too.

I know I know, it's just a set of strings. But I like them a lot, and they don't break the bank.

.These strings work better for my gritty electric slide blues style than all of the other strings I've used. The materials, winding, gauges chosen, all suit my purposes, as does the balance of price/quality. Of course, my style is somewhat idiosynchratic, and my opinion is reflective of that. The box art alone is at least worth a look!

.These strings are super awesome! The tone is second to none! I have used many many strings in my life and for the past 7 years or so, have been sworn to a certain brand (not this one) for the feel and tone...but the life has been lacking on those, so I thought I would try out the Rev Willy's. I'm now converted! These are the only strings I want to use! The tone is perfect, the feel is great!

As for the life...
I am notorious for crudding up my guitars when I play. I've had numerous techs tell me over the years that they've never seen anyone crud up a guitar like I do and the strings of course are the worst. That said, I've found I get a bit of rust on these quicker than I would like, but I don't deduct from 5 stars because the playability and tone don't suffer when I notice it. When my other strings would start to crud up, I could hear the roll off and they would be done shortly after. With these, I end up changing them due to crud before I hear any roll off.

Color me impressed!

Dunlop, keep making these please!

PS - I've been wanting to try out 9s lately to work on my "delicate touch" technique. Definitely going for these in a lighter gauge!

.Bought them on sale. While they were very strong, I did not like the tone - they were bright, and did not really sound like another string I've played.
Also, I noticed that my fingers were black after just few minutes of initial playing.

.I give the strings 5 stars, musiciansfriend 0 stars I ordered 2 sets and expected 2 sets in a weeks time only 1 set came they did not notify me they were out of stock and I had already wrote a good review on the availability of their products, guess I was wrong. They should show the availability of their products not in stock and ready to ship, false advertising if you ask me, I have order else where online and they show what's available so I will spend my money else where. And I still haven't received my second set yet, going on a month since I ordered these strings.
