Ok...this is just the next step for for those who have guitar rack setups. Period. I don't know why someone that uses strictly pedals would buy this. This is a cool product, it is a tool to accomplish a specific purpose....TO KEEP YOUR SIGNAL IN YOUR RACK AND STILL HAVE A WAH AND VOLUME OUT FRONT. Why spend all that money on a rig and then not complete it with this. I really dig the volume loop on this and you can insert it anywhere you want in your chain, I use mine in my effects loop off of my amp, but for those who are thinking of using a Dunlop high gain volume pedal to control it, think again. Use an Ernie Ball volume pedal, it works soooooo much better. The Dunlop will peak out and then drop off in volume if you go to the toe!! The EB won't do that and you will be much happier :)!!The wah is simply wonderful, built like a tank and the tone is spot on. Versatility is huge, get all the different wahs you want. It is really up to you and the controls that you have at your disposal. Now...the price is big and this is definately not going to be a "return on your investment" type of deal..but I will say that after you get over the initial rush and shock of spending that much on a wah you will settle into a warm and creamy feeling that you did the right thing. Long signal cable bad. Short signal cable with voltage control out front only...good. The controller is very cool, it has 2 red leds on the back (I would make a note to any Dunlop designer maybe reading this to see how you could improve this......put them on the side of pedal so it is much easier to see, once your heel is on, you can't see the lights!!) to let you know when the wah is engaged. You can also hook into a effects switcher and use the true bypass feature. ( I have not used this yet) But I have not noticed any tone coloration by just disengaging the controller. Bottom line is this, if you are willing to spend some cash it is a great and fun thing to have. If you don't want to put that much into your gear, well that's cool too. (Did I mention that you can have up to 6 wah controllers hooked to this thing?!!!) A fun toy with some cool features.Dunlop Cry Baby Rack Wah
.When you think of a wah pedal, musicians like Slash, Jimi Hendrix, Kirk Hammett, Joe Satriani, and many others come to mind. There are dozens of wah pedals out there, and believe me, I've tried just about all of them. There has been no other wah pedal that I've tried that has even come close to the sound, versatility, and quality of this. The price on the other hand is rather rediculous. When I bought mine brand new a few years back, it was half the price it is now. Granted, it was the older model, but at $300 dollars for a wah pedal was pushing it. The only big difference in this new version is the Q knob, which adjusts the frequency of the wah. I honestly do not see the justification in charging $600 for a wah pedal, but I assume they have the more professional recording/touring musician in mind. It is still simply the best wah you will ever try, but if you are low on cash and aren't that obsessed with customizing your wah, I recommend looking elsewhere.

.I have all kinds of wahs (Dunlop Cry Baby Classic, Dunlop Cry Baby 535, Vox Clyde McCoy, Wilson Effects 12 position Rippah Q-wah, the white Fulltone wah and a couple of other) BUT I was never completely happy with the sound of either of them. This wah is it. If you're sitting on the fence and wondering should you buy it, have no fear because this pedal won't let you down. None of that annoying crackling, scratchy sounds just thick and rich, creamy, noise free, lovely wah goodness. The best I ever had. I'm completely happy now, as far as was pedals are concerned

.I am downsizing my rack. This unit is fantastic as it has all the crybaby models you could want in one rack.I may not get rid of it as it can still be used in the front end of my processors. It's extreme in price - but you can already see that.Bottom line - You can see what it is. You know what it's for, You know the brand, and you can see the price. It's the best rack wah system you can buy - if you want to spend the money - you will love it. If you think it's too expensive - it is. If you don't care about the price - you'll buy it.If you've purchased this item - you already know it's the cream of the crop. You can put it against any other wah pedal on the market and win. Hands down.If you want the best - here it is, and it's gonna cost you! LOL!

.The Cry Baby Rack Wah is the best by far. I have it in a big amp rack rig in my studio. The Dunlop GCB-80 is the best volume control pedal to use with this. I have read people have had problems with the GCB-80 for the volume control. What you have to do is hook a dummy cable to the input it lifts the ground and then works perfect. So don't buy a cheap volume pedal get the Dunlop GCB-80.

.I've owned a modded Dunlop Cry Baby Wah pedal for years but was never truly satisfied. It was hard for me to set my highs trebly and clear, without sounding too thin and losing sustain, while still maintain the deep vowel-like lows that I like. I also had problems with the wah making harsh sounds when engaged. This rack wah solves the problem. It also seems to boost the signal in my chain, and all of the unwanted wah noise is kept to a minimum. I hesitated for months because of the price (it costs more than I paid for my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp), but i definitely feel like it's worth the money. There's no wah sound that you can't get out of this thing as long as you have the patience to play around with the EQ and Frequency settings.

.I bought the Dunlop DCR 2SR to go with my Mesa Roadking. I was a bit concerned over the price, but it has been worth every cent! First of all and most importantly, the tonality far exceeds any other wah I've ever used. Very rich and vocal sounding... I like a "quacky" wah sound, but the beauty is that you can get any wah sound with this baby! I don't use the built-in EQ. I don't need to... It sounds that good! The independant volume is a great and very usable feature. The best thing is that I've been able to keep my cable runs very short. I went from about 50 feet to less than 10 feet of signal carrying cable. This has had a tremendous effect on my tone. It is pricey, but well worth it!
