Great jazz III pick, all I play with is jazz picks but I usually have to scratch and scuff my picks up to keep them from slipping out of my grip, these have the texture already and does the job well.

.An excellent upgrade to the only pick I seem to be able use . The grip is excellent and the edge doesnt fray like a nylon Jazz iii. A distict, positive difference in tone.

.I have used jazz IIIs from Dunlop for years and tried all of the different variations of materials and grips and sizes. These are the best so far. The grip is helpful for those who sweat a lot and could be especially helpful under hot stage lights. The bevel makes breaking in the pick nonexistent. The sound is similar to the black jazz IIIs, but it feels a bit warmer. I have used ultex picks in the past and this seems very similar in tone.

The main thing to consider is the size. If you have not used jazz IIIs in the past, then it may take some getting used to.

If you can spare the expense, they are definitely worth giving a try.

.I usually play the Tortex Jazz III's. I preferred the sound of the Ultex but if you drop them, they tend to disappear into oblivion. The Primetones sound great. It's not a HUGE difference, but they have the sound of the Ultex picks that I prefer (I'm kind of a cork-sniffing wino sometimes, splitting hairs, but I digress). The raised grip is comfortable and stays where you want it to. The pick is a bit smaller than your standard Jazz III, so it takes a bit of getting used to. My biggest concern is the "hand burnished" edges, which are buffed out make a slight "clicking" or "chirping" sound. On the acoustic, it doesn't bother me so much, but playing the electric unplugged, it's definitely noticeable. Plugged in, I only heard it when playing either super clean, or with really high gain. Same problem I had with V-Picks and some of the more expensive Wegen style picks.. Overall, I recommend, but I do prefer the standard Jazz III's for a fraction of the cost.

.The JazzIII size and shape suit me well, my problem with picks was always slippage, but these have just enough texture to stay right where I want and need them.
