Works pretty well on dead and dirty strings. Definitely brings a bit of life back into your strings. Don't use it until your strings are really dead though. I find it kills that "new string" tone if you use it on fresh strings. As a lubricant, it's ok. It's more subtle than something like Fast Fret, but it does a decent job. Doesn't last long though. All in all, a good product. Well worth the 3 or so bucks.Dunlop Ultraglide 65 String Cleaner & Conditioner
.Best String Cleaner
Dunlop Ultraglide 65 String Cleaner & Conditioner
.I bought this because M.F. no longer carries ,Blitz String care ,,,,,,,,I don't get how smearing this along the top of the strings and fretboard does anything..The sauce in the bottle may be good stuff ,,but the application method is ,,,stupid...I notice when the strings get real grimy, there is debris on the underside,,,so a rag with some sauce on it seems like a better deal ,,,and that is why I prefer Blitz String care ,,It is amazing!!

.Buy it...you'll be glad you did, and YOU will have your own secret weapon on the BLACKFINGER SYNDROM too !
I was skeptical trying this but it had such great reviews I gave it a shot. I was looking for something to clean my strings with to remove the black grime that happens every time I play/practice. I play professionally with two bands at present and practice at home for hours at a time. No sweat I still get the dreaded 'BLACKFINGER SYNDROM"...
Long story short, this stuff actually brings back the strings to a brand new feel AND sound. You can hear it work when you are applying it...a very high frequency shrill as you apply it let's me know its going to feel and sound great. Wipe it on, wipe it off...that's it!
I immediatly put it on ALL my guitars and love it...Take it from me...This stuff WORKS! So well, I was going to make it a 'secret weapon' of sorts and remove the label...Great stuff, and for the great price here at musicians friend you can't afford to skip this ULTRAGLIDE 65!

.After I tune up and get all set up, I give a few slides of this stuff on my strings. Come back in a few, give it a quick wipe with an old sock, and you'll find that you can play almost twice as fast as you would normally. If you play with a pick or all pop/slap, don't bother, but for everyone that finger picks this stuff really helps--you'll glide through your set like a hot knife through butter.

.This product does what it was designed to do, and it works well. It prevents your strings from corroding and help take the acid out of them and make them look and sound like new again. It is just Teflon oilyou can go to any gun store and get some for the same price that would last you way longer, It is best when using this dunlop stuff, you put it on the strings then put some on a paper towl and do underneath the strings too, then wipe them off with another paper towl, but if I were you, I'd get this stuff called Rem oil at wal mart and most gun stores, afterall Teflon is Teflon
Dunlop Ultraglide 65 String Cleaner & Conditioner
.Sure, it removes all traces of dirt and icky stuff off your strings. It also removes all of the TONE. I specifically waited 3 weeks after putting on a fresh set to put this stuff to the test and my strings sounded worse after using it. I hated how greasy it made the strings feel too, even when using the most minute amount. Smells terrible too. This aint' it.

.Very cool item at very cool price.
Dunlop Ultraglide 65 String Cleaner & Conditioner
.I use this product once a week. I apply one stride of this stuff on my strings and the strings sound much better when playing my guitar.
Dunlop Ultraglide 65 String Cleaner & Conditioner
.I clean the excess off with a paper towel. This cleaner keeps the strings feeling like new which is lovely. The only problem is my strings seem to have a slightly exaggerated squeak. I have to adjust my finger pressure
