Nothing. People have been using a padded block of wood for centuries rather than this junk.Cheap plastic. Yes it swivels this way and that but so does the alternative. Only difference is that the alternative lasts forever without breaking!

.As a pro repiarman, I need my neck rest to be at many different heights. While this Dunlop tilts and has a small footprint, it has no height adjustment and is too light. It would be great if it was height adjustable, heavier and also held tools and such.

.I've used it for changing strings and it does a good job. I'm not experienced enough to mess around with the electronics inside a guitar nor do I really need to at the moment, but I bought this cradle so I could work on it on the back side as well when I need to.
