This is a well-built case by TKL for Ovation and right-priced by Custom Guitar's Friend. Fits the super-shallow bowl models perfectly with neck support. If you're wondering like I did if the outer shell is the same as the mid-depth/deep bowl case, the answer is yes. They mold in more foam to fit the shallow bowl models but use the same outer shell. I would have preferred a thinner case like the SKB 1SKB-16 but wasn't willing to pay the extra cost for the same inner protection...

.All new guitars should come with at least a gig bad for protection. I bought this Ovation 8117.0 case to house my new Celebrity GC057M guitar. The review I read said it fit this guitar great. However, my guitar was a bit too snug for my liking and I had to do some slight inside modification to allow me to close the case without feeling as though I could damage my guitar.

It would be great if ovation could provide information on which (case/cases) are best suited for the model of guitar that their customers are purchasing in the product summary.

It would be best if all new guitars came with at least a gig bag for protection and a suggestion for which hard case is designed best for the model one is considering. I would gladly pay the extra cost for the case to be included with the original guitar package.
Well designed and well built case. (For the right guitar). Nice latches and the ability to lock it up. Inside is well constructed and the case overall looks solid.
This is a well built case. Solid construction. Great looking.
A little more than I would have liked to have spent for a case alone, but can you really place a value on proctection of you instrument.

.I ordered this case to fit my Ovation guitar that has been at my friend's house in my hometown. I was traveling by air and researched that I could bring the guitar back as a carry-on item for the airplane company- but only if it had a hard shell case. The case arrived at my hometown friend's house promptly after ordering, and I had no difficulty with taking it back home with me.

.Wanted a case for my Ovation CC48 (SS) Guitar.
Well...this is it. The guitar fits perfectly inside.
The accessory is very small. You can only fit picks, your capo, and some strings inside. Only Essentials?
Really would have loved to be capable of storing my guitar strap inside. That's the only con I can give you about it.

Overall. It seems great, and capable of doing the job!

.I bought my case new for my Ovation CC059 Classic-Style super-shallow body. I called the Ovation factory for their reccomendation and was told the 8117-0 is the best fit for my guitar. They were right, it fits perfectly! Also thanks to M's Friend for the great price and service, it arrived on time.

Fits perfectly.Even with guitar strap on guitar still fits snug and is molded just right.Inside is soft and plush.Has storage inside on neck for cable , strings whatever.Looks Great with Molded Ovation logo stamped into the case on the outside, a Nice touch.Beautiful Case and also has a lock on one latch.
