... with just a bit of work. The neck does come pre-drilled for modern style tuners, but vintage tuners can be installed with conversion bushings and hand drilling seven small holes. Honestly, it isn't difficult. Tutorials are online everywhere. As for the neck itself, it has a slightly chunkier profile than the 94 MIM neck it replaced, which is a good thing. The frets are also a bit bigger, also a major plus for me. The new satin finish on the back of the neck is wonderfully smooth to the touch and is much nicer than the old gloss.
Really the only negative is the frets could have been dressed and polished a bit better. They weren't horrible, leveling was nominally acceptable, but they did need to be properly dressed and polished to play buzz free. Not exactly the job for a novice. As it is, I routinely do my own fret work, so no big deal.
All in all, a neck with excellent woodwork and finish, flawed only by fretwork that needs finishing by someone with experience. Me, I'm happy with it.
Fender Stratocaster Neck, 21 Medium Jumbo Frets Maple
.Fit perfect in my squier standard strat- I prefer maple over rosewood fingerboards. Neck is straight, plays fantatic, and the wood grain looks great. The squier tuning keys were not compatible though.

.The neck looks great and it was easy to install on the body. This was a "temporary" replacement on my American Strat because it really needed a fret job and replacing the neck was a cheaper option than what I was quoted for the fret job. The neck is a bit chunkier than the American neck but not bad plus I already knew that. My biggest issue was that the nut slots required a fair amount of filing down to get the action to where it needs to be. Once I did that, the action was easy to set up and it plays great. Also, there are no holes for string trees so I ended up making a template of my American neck headstock to make sure I drilled the holes in the right places.

.It's pre-drilled for 2-peg tuning machines, which precludes transfer of vintage style tuning machines from the old neck. Holes are also too big for vintage bushings. I'm deciding whether to return it or upgrade to the newer tuners - I'd hoped to keep the '63 Strat as original as possible.
The neck is of good Fender quality and should work fine on later models.
Fender Stratocaster Neck, 21 Medium Jumbo Frets Maple
.The neck is of good quality, straight, frets are well finished, finish on maple fret board is well done. The nut that fender uses is brittle so take care for final cutting. This set right in to a 1992 Fender Strat (MM) that I rebuilt, the old neck had lots of wear and the truss nut rod was stripped. Reasonable price for replacing a neck.

.My Fender GC-1 Roland-Ready Strat needed a fret job, and I have never liked the "Powered by Roland" logo on the headstock. So rather than replace it with the more expensive MIA neck (22 fret), I decided to take a chance and ordered this MIM 21-fret replacement neck instead, with the maple fretboard. I am very pleased with it. The frets were dressed nicely, the nut looks the same as my MIA neck, and it bolted right on very nicely--a very good fit. It didn't need any intonation or truss rod adjustment. As advertised, it did need to have the nut slots cut for my specific string diameters (10-13-15-26-32-38) which I did myself with my StewMac nut files, but it looked to me like the nut slots may have been OK as-is with my relatively light string set. I also installed locking tuners, which required the two small guide holes per tuner that this neck has, and the fit for those was perfect. Also the back of the neck is satin finished, and not glossy, like my original GC-1 neck--I like the satin much better. My tuners are staggered, and I have a Blade Runner Super-V bridge, so I don't use any string trees--just realize that if you need to install string trees, you will have to drill the holes yourself. Bottom line--this neck will stay on my guitar until I need another fret job, and then I will most likely replace it with this same MIM neck--a very good product for the price.
