Product Description
The Fender Road Worn '60s Stratocaster was designed using 1950s specs augmented by Tex-Mex pickups and 6105 frets. Like classic cars or your favorite T-shirt, some things just get cooler with age. It's especially true of electric guitars. They develop an unmistakable aura over time that makes them look even cooler and feel even more comfortable than when they were new. In that regard, the Fender Road Worn '60s Stratocaster is a true player.

I saw these on web and liked the look.Went to Local music store and Checked out a White one.It was impressive.Workmanship was very good, played great,Stock pickups Sounded Good. I am A guitar Builder and Repair Guy and was impressed with Quality and feel.Very good and alot less money than American Relic which are over priced IMO I bought this Guitar and Love it!!! Only Minor complaint is back of Neck that feels a little rough. But I am Getting used to it.Fender Road Worn '60s Stratocaster Electric Guitar Olympic White
.It started with a laugh and a scoff. It turned into 'I would like to like them but naaaa' and now I am sitting here with one hanging on my wall... not sure how it happened.Ok, so I have already (first day of ownership) replaced the pickguard with the mint one from my Robert Cray. I kept the tex mex pups and my RC pots etc... also have a n-tune on the RC pickguard. I have set-up the guitar from top to bottom. Added a spring to the tremolo, removed the center 4 trmolo to body screws to basically make it a floating bridge (it is staying in tune now... yay!).I lOVE the 7.25" radius neck... I bought this (great price) with the intent of parting it out but it stays right here. The pups are great... better than the GFS I had in the RC. I love this guitar... awesome sounding (sounds like a strat:))plays like butter and looks ok as well... Go ahead... once it's all set up you'll thank me!

.Amazing guitar!!!
for my electric guitars, i look for three major things:
1.) They have to sound AWESOME
2.) They have to feel GREAT
3.) They have to look COOL (Gibsons are pretty not cool)
This guitar follows everything above

.I've owned about three MIMs in the past that I turned into projects w/new pups and pots, etc... I also had an American Fender Deluxe w/S-1 switching. I will say that this is one of the better Mims I've played. It's lighter than I expected, and although it's relic'd - which I'm not fond of - this had the features I was looking for specs-wise. It has a good resonance when played acoustically, stays in tune alright and has great pickups. I plan on getting it completely set up because it needs to be adjusted a slight bit for better action to cater to my tastes, but right out of the box it played fine. I also don't mind if it gets dinged up or scratched, and so it will be my main gig'ing axe; although I can't leave my JS models and JEM behind forever! However, this does give that Strat Sound that so many wish for, and my particular body, at least, seems to have a nice chime that makes the whole body hum even when it's not plugged in; which is always nice to have.I still like my Tele 51 RI much more, though. Hehe

.I have owned a ton of Strats over the years. They continue, for me, to be consistently great guitars. There are just so many models, I want to try them all! I like this RW Strat ever bit as much as my Deluxe V. It looks great, feels great and plays great.
Everything you would want in a Strat. Not much to add in this category.
Well, it is beat up very nicely! Seriously, it feels solid, body is light, neck is great and sustain for days. Mine stays in tune extremely well, even after using the whammy. The quality is really top notch.
I remember when American Standards were less money, but I guess if you compare it to a "Closet Classic", then I'd have to say it is a very good value. I can not get over how great the MIM models are these days.

.With a proper setup this guitar is as close as I have come to my old 63 strat without having to give up food and clothing, these guitars are a steal and only a fraction of the price of a CS relic. It's a no brainer. Don't let the fact that they are made in Mexico discourage you like I almost did. I am still shocked at the playability and tone. Grab one before they hike the price.

.I'm not a Strat guy. I'm pure Gibson and when it comes to Fender I'm a Tele guy. But I'm obsessive about sound and I'm missing the Strat sound in my collection, so I decided to trade an American deluxe Tele for a Strat. The sound I want is the Stevie Ray Vaughan Southern blues style. I tried a lot of different Strats including american deluxe, standards and customs, but the owner of the shop noticed that I kept coming back to the cheaper Mexican made '60 Road Worn so he let me borrow it for a week. Smart man, now I won't give it back, so I guess I owe him some money. What draw me to the RW was the pickups, I love Tex Mex pups, they just scream dirty southern blues, their not the loudest but hey I don't mind turning up the amp a bit. I'm not to sure about the bridge pickup though, it seems a bit weak to me, but when mixed with the middle pup they sound great, so I'm scared to change it (besides I'm new to strats so it might be a perfectly normal bridge sound). The number one issue I have with Fenders Strats is their colours, especially in their higher end guitars. Boring colours with pure white pick guard, no character whatsoever. But the RW works for me, because the finish is satin, so no blinding shine, and the pick guard is yellowed to make it look like a chain smoker as used it for forty years, now that's character. The aged look is definitely an gimmick, but one that works. The aged process is real, not a paint job, the only bad thing about it for me is the neck; Fender sand blasted the back which feels weird certainly not naturally used, but the neck still plays nice. There's a couple of faults with the guitar like knobs that are to close or far from the pick guard, but these faults actually work with the aged look. A stupid advantage of this guitar that I noticed is because it 's already beat up, I'm not afraid to bang or scratch it, so I'm always carrying it around with me and it gets lots of use. After playing many different Strats, mostly high ends, I ended up buying this one. It's not the best quality but it's perfect for that barroom gig feel. The only other Strat I'd consider is the SRV signature Number One (which I haven't played yet) but I figured I would save a grand and I have no regrets yet.

.i have played this guitar over 20 times so i am very familiar with it because my bandmate owns this guitar. i must say this guitar sounds absolutely amazing, but there is a downside to the great tone. that would be that i have cut myself on the guitar at least three times and those cuts were not pretty. i like this guitar but my regular fender has not given me problems as much as this road worn has given my bandmate and me have. i recommend that if you are looking for a fender strat then don't buy this, buy the normal fender strat. if you are a strat collector, then maybe you will want this but other than being a collector i see no reason to buy this guitar.

.I'm just speechless. No words to describe how I feel about this. Best guitar I've ever owned. This one's definitely a keeper, a guitar for a lifetime.

Love this guitar! My wife got it for me for Valentines day last year, and I've been playing the heck out of it since! Sounds great, great action, my first MIM Fender, and I absolutely love it! I probably wouldn't have bought it myself due to the price, but she snuck some savings away here and there, and surprised me with it. And now I wouldn't trade it for anything!Fender Road Worn '60s Stratocaster Electric Guitar Olympic White
