I play a Gibson 'Artist Hummingbird' as a soloist and I've been using the Martin MSP4200 (which are similar but heavier gauge at 12 to 54) for a couple years but wanted to go a little lighter so that I could play 4 sets with less pain to my finger tips. These strings are just right. Nice tone, they play in tune, well balanced in volume and are easier on the fingers. Any lighter and you'd give up some tone and have tuning issues. These will be my regular strings. I change strings often so I can always have good tone so if you want longevity in your strings, maybe the coated ones are what you'd prefer but I think you give up some tone using coated strings. Martin strings seem to be the best in my experience. I've tried Dean Markley and D'Addario (they're ok). I have not tried Elixer becuase they are priced too high and I don't value longevity which seems to be their selling point. I think it's better to buy strings that are higher in value and change them before each gig or 2.Martin MSP3050 SP 80/20 Bronze Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings
.I've been playing for about 12 years, and been using these on my Martin D-15 for about 8 years. I have tried other strings and removed them within weeks including expensive coated options. What is the point of using a set of strings that last forever when they sound terrible? Use these instead, replace them as necessary. The sound these strings produce is smooth, mellow, well-rounded but with excellent body. This combination of sizes gives you volume without being hard to play. You cannot go wrong with these.

.Cheap and great sounding strings. I recommend these for practice but not live performance. I experienced a slight buzzing from the low e string. But overall happy with the price an sound.

.I have been playing the guitar for 35 years and have 2 guitars: 6-string and 12-string Martins. These are the ONLY strings that I put on my guitars. They sound great and don't break easily, which is good because I was going through Elixirs like crazy! These strings actually sound better than the Elixirs. They bring out the beautiful rich, warm tones of Martin guitars.

.Anytime you change strings, your sound will improve. That can get expensive over a long time, but for the price I got these, I can't whine. I was using the Martin SP Lights before, but I now like the feel of the Custom Lights better. That's just a personal thing though. We all have to experiment until we find the gage that suits us. As for quality, I haven't had an issue with any Martin strings to date. There are plenty out there that cost twice as much or more. If you feel that they are worth it, write a review and tell us why.

.In my 53 years of playing music, both as a hobby & professional, I've tried almost every acoustic string available.Different strings sound different on
different guitars. I discovered The Martin SP 3050 custom lights sound terrific on any guitar I put them on. I keep other brands for my friends, but am gradually graduating them over to these Martins. I am in a Bluegrass band now & they work out great.

.These strings are simply amazing. I recently bought a Yamaha FG75 from a friend, and the strings on it were over 4 years old. I needed some new ones and i picked these. Well, I made the right choice. These strings are beautiful. My Yamaha cost 75$ and with these strings on it, it sounds exactly like my friends 500$ guitar. You must buy these strings if you want a nice warm tone and long lasting strings. They're cheap too!!

.I bought a Takamine 340SC a couple months back that was a display model. I noticed some of the strings were tarnished due to the guitar not being wiped after being played. After changing to these strings, not only did I get nice shiny strings, but I also got strings that were much easier to play and they sound AWESOME! Next time I need to change my strings out, these are what I will buy.

.Very Good product.
I placed my order for new strings for my guitar...... They came, I put them on my guitar, and am playing once again. It was very easy to place my order, and they came in record time. I'm very satisfied. This is the place for your musical needs. Thank you, Gary.
The best strings yet. Very good place to get what you need.
The best price I found.
