I've tried many strings over the years and I have to say I love these. Great tone, and quality. I've skimmed over a few of the other reviews and I suspect the problems they are having are human error or hardware problems (poor quality tuners ect). I recommend these to beginners and professionals alike.Electro-Harmonix NIC10 Nickel Wound Light Electric Guitar Strings
.I'm extremely unhappy with these strings. I have been an exclusive D'Addario user for 25 years. I purchased these as a last minute backup set just to try something new. First off I use .010 on my Les Paul. These strings feel like a .009 and the tone was thin and had little punch or bite. But the worst problem is they won't stay in tune. I used them at two gigs thinking maybe they needed to stretch out. But various strings continued to go out of tune on every song. I had to tune after EVERY song. Total waste of money. I wouldn't even recommend these as an emergency set or practice set.

.I've come to accept that my hand sweat must contain pure acid, I go through my favorite strings (Dean Markley Vintage) in about a week. I was recommended EH strings so I bought 3 sets to try. They're OK when first put on but after literally a day all of the sets rusted up on the high strings (I've been playing about 6 hours a day lately). One set I put some Ax Wax oil on in hopes of making them last longer, I think it actually made them rust faster. Even if the strings didn't rust so fast I don't find much unique here, I'd probably put these up against Elixir for tone and feel, though the Elixirs lasted me at least a month. Will be going back to the Dean Markley Vintage '73s.

.I play a '72 Les Paul Custom. Before I bought the Les Paul, I played other various guitars on which I used Super Slinkies. The first time I changed the strings on the Les Paul I replaced with Super Slinkies. I was abhored! My great playing & sounding Les Paul didn't play or sound as great anymore! I called the vintage guitar dealer to find out what kind of strings were on the Les Paul when I bought it. He immediately said Electro-Harmonix because that's the ONLY kind of strings he puts on his Les Pauls. I have to agree. Electro-Harmonix is the only kind of strings I'll ever put on my Les Paul. The 10's sound like 10's but feel like 9's. Great strings!

.I like the 10s. But I'm sure they are all good.

.I put the EH strings on a 24 fret guitar with a Mexican Ebony fret board. The EH strings transferred that guitar from my worst guitar to my best playing guitar. The EH strings are very easy to bend and have a great sounding, unique tone. The EH strings remind me of the great feeling, great sounding guitar strings my older brother used back in the day and are better than strings costing 3 or 4 times as much.
If you have played Mexican Ebony fret boards, then you know that they are sticky and tactful. String cleaners, sprays, fret board cleaners/conditioners, or expensive electric guitar strings will not work in increasing the playability or to smooth out a Mexican Ebony fret board. These EH strings glides easily over the fret board and frets. I decided to keep the guitar as a result of the EH strings.

.Great value in a nickel string. Very stretchy. A good change from EB.
Electro-Harmonix NIC10 Nickel Wound Light Electric Guitar Strings
.I love the feel of these strings. The tone is exactly how I like. My sound is more dynamic than before. Contrary to other reviews, they DO stay in tune (check your intonation and guitar setup in general) and they DO last a long time. I'm not a fan of strings that have windings that work against you. These strings have just the right amount of smoothness and brightness. Bright, but not annoying.

.This was the first time that I tried these strings and more than likely will not buy them again. They feel like EB slinky strings. Nice tone and low string noise but they do not stay in tune. I was unhappy when I first put them on because they are 10s that feel, play and sound like 9s!! The string gauge are the same as 9s but they claim to be 10s! Bottom line if you play 9s than these 10s are for you!!

.I went back and forth mainly between Ernie Ball, D'Addario, Elixir and some others for the last several years and I think I will stick with these for now. The tone seems to be close to perfect and the feel for bending is very nice as well. They last about the same as regular non-coated strings.
